Ryad Boudebouz attracting interest from Olympique Lyonnais – Ligue 1 news
Reports in French media suggest that Ligue 1 giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 are keeping tabs on Algerian international Ryad Boudebouz despite Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas’ recent announcement of his plans to sell two players in the 2012 summer transfer window.
The directors of Sochaux Montbéliard have no respite indeed. Highly stressed last summer when they had to strive hard to keep hold of their key players like Marvin Martin, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryad-Boudebouz-c31970 and Maiga, the club is likely to stave off interest from many clubs
for their three young players once again when the winter transfer window opens.
While http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Boudebouz is equally getting a lot of attention from European clubs.
Earlier in the summer, Italian Serie A side Fiorentina and English Premier League giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC were keen on signing the youngster and reports now claim that Olympique Lyonnais are also keen on signing the youngster. In order to strengthen the flanks
where apart from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-Bastos-c25461, no one has stood up, Les Gones are keen on signing a player who could add strength to the attack.
Though Aulas is keen to balance the club’s books by selling two players, recruiting Boudebouz is another thing on the mind of the Lyon supremo.
Financially speaking, the operation could be feasible but not in line with what Aulas had said a few days ago. Boudebouz on the other hand, is keeping his mouth shut regarding his future and has chosen his words carefully whenever asked about the future.
“Look, I cannot confirm that Liverpool was interested in me last summer, but now I think that we are still far from the winter transfer window. I am at Sochaux where I intend to have a great season. After that, if the president decides to grant me a release,
we’ll see,” said the Algerian international.
The young African had a great 2010/2011 season with Les Lionceaux and has once again made a good start to the new campaign. Though it still remains to be seen where the youngster’s future lies, a move to the Rhone club cannot be ruled out.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Modibo-Maiga-c26167 already closing in on a move to Newcastle United, it seems that the time has come for the likes of Marvin Martin, Ryad Boudebouz and Maiga to leave the Bonal in order to test their skills elsewhere which though is a good thing for their
careers, would surely end the 'high-flying' reign of Sochaux.
