The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 forward is of the view that the Eredivisie champions could have easily bagged all three points in the first Klassieker of the 2012/13 season, while criticising the referee for some poor decisions during the game.
Ajax Amsterdam attacker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Babel-c31971, was disappointed to see his side drop two points against Feyenoord Rotterdam at De Kuip Stadion on Sunday, October 28.
De Joden commenced proceedings brightly, and a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eriksen-c9074 strike gifted the reigning Eredivisie champions a deserving lead within 12 minutes of action. However, Jean-Paul Boetius managed to restore parity in the 23rd minute, and both sides
remained level on terms until the half-time break.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Siem-de-Jong-c33482 gave the Amsterdammers an early lead in the second-half, and the visiting side appeared to be cruising to bag all three points. However, Graziano Pelle netted an equaliser at the stroke of full time whistle to end proceedings 2-2 at De Kuip
Stadion.
In spite of admitting that the Rotterdammers are a strong side, Babel stressed that the Amsterdammers should have emerged victorious.
“We have lost two points here. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 are a strong team, but we could and should have won the match. You know that you can't dominate a game for the full 90 minutes, but everything seemed to go fine for us for a long time”, the 25-year-old attacker was
quoted as saying to Goal.com.
The Dutch international went on to criticise the man in-charge on the pitch, Bas Nijhuis, and stressed that Niklas Moisander’s second yellow card was way too harsh.
“I feel that he was not consistent in his decisions. The second yellow card for Niklas was too harsh in my opinion. The match swung in Feyenoord's favour after that”, Babel added.
Moisander received his marching orders in the 75th minute following a second bookable offence. With ten men on the pitch, De Joden failed to assert their authority, while the Rotterdam giants staged a far better show afterwards.
“Feyenoord did get a bit stronger, but they didn't create many chances. Pelle is strong on the ball and in the air, and he eventually made the difference for them”, Babel concluded.
After dropping two points on Sunday, Ajax are now sitting fourth on the league table, seven points behind the Eredivisie leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede.
