The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 attacker has expressed confidence in his side’s abilities ahead of the UEFA Champions League encounter against Borussia Dortmund.
Ajax Amsterdam newly signed striker, Ryan Babel, has stressed that the Amsterdam giants must make use of every given opportunity against Borussia Dortmund to claim a favourable result.
The Eredivisie giants will lock horns against the Bundesliga champions in their opening UEFA Champions League group stage game at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, September 18.
Die Borussians have emerged as a force to be reckoned in the recent years in the German top flight after lifting the Bundesliga title in two consecutive seasons.
With plenty of star players in their squad, the German outfit seems to be the favourites to dismantle the Amsterdam giants in front of their home crowd on Tuesday.
However, Babel has expressed hopefulness about his side’s chances of securing a good result at Signal Iduna Park, while urging his teammates to put in their 100 percent in order to bag all three points at the end.
“Our squad has a lot of experience in the Champions League. We have not lost in advance. There are opportunities awaiting us and we must exploit them”, the former Hoffenheim striker said while talking to journalists.
Meanwhile, the Amsterdammers head coach, Frank de Boer, has heaped praise on Die Borussians’ Marco Rues, and Mario Gotze.
“Reus and Gotze are both outstanding players but it doesn't really matter if Klopp decides to play both of them together. We would not be really surprised by this”, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player was quoted as saying to UEFA.com.
However, the Dutch trainer has expressed confidence in his side’s new acquisition, Babel, and has expressed hopefulness that the 25-year-old’s experience plays a vital role in helping his side achieve a good result.
“It is the same with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 and I hope he will bring this experience
to the game tomorrow”, De Boer concluded.
