Hoffenheim striker Ryan Babel has revealed his desire to match the class of Bayern Munich duo of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Babel reckons that he is still going through a learning curve and could join the elite club of players later on his career.
The player was talking ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifiers, though, he is not a part of the final http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 squad. Babel was initially named in Bert van Marwijk’s squad but has now been omitted ahead of the Friday’s game.
The former Liverpool player has been in fine form this season for Hoffenheim and has vowed to lead his side to a top six finish unlike the last campaign where they ended 11th on the table.
Babel believes that the German outfit have made a decent start this term and last weekend’s draw against Bayern Munich could serve as a morale booster for rest of the campaign.
While talking to local press regarding his desire, the 24-year-old added, "I have enough confidence at the moment to say that I have the potential to play at the same level as Arjen Robben or Franck Ribery. However, potential doesn't say it all. There are
plenty of players who have a lot of talent. It's all about getting the best out of yourself and you'll have to work very hard to achieve that.”
He further enthused, "I know that I have the qualities to reach their level at some stage in my career though. I hope to show what I can do that this season."
Babel has had a decent year with Hoffenheim since joining them earlier this year from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904.
