Ryan Braun brings home 3-1 victory for Milwaukee Brewers against Colorado Rockies – MLB Update

Milwaukee Brewers completed their three-game sweep against Colorado Rockies, winning the last game 3-1 at Miller Park, Milwaukee on Sunday, May 22.
However, the third inning feat of Ryan Braun that included a two-run triple coupled with a throwing error coming off Ubaldo Jimenez, changed the map of the game and paved the way of victory for Brewers.
"When you're facing a pitcher like Ubaldo you know you're not going to get too many opportunities or square up too many balls. So when you do get hits you hope guys are on base," Braun said. "We were efficient with our hits."
Jimenez found himself in trouble despite throwing his seventh complete game. There were a total of five walks that the Rockies’ pitcher gave. However, he struck a positive note when asked about today’s game. "I've been a work in progress," Jimenez said.
"I made a major step today, but I still have things to work on."
Randy Wolf, on the other hand, pitched seven innings that included giving up four hits. Wolf was replaced by Kameron Loe and John Axford who were no less effective in securing the game in the Brewers’ favour. Axford successfully saved his 12th
game, which include the last nine wins in a row.
Colorado’s Carlos Gonzalez singled to right to score the first run of the game and gave his team a 1-0 lead. Randy gave up two hits in the inning following which Ubaldo Jimenez came pitching for the Rockies.
That proved an enthrallingly eventful inning for Milwaukee. Braun turned upside down for Colorado Rockies by hitting a two-run triple coupled with an error that not only reversed the Rockies’ lead, but also brought the game in the complete control of the
Brewers.
It was then on the pitchers of Milwaukee to contain the Rockies’ offence. They did it with major success, as Randy Wolf, Kameron Loe and John Axford threw shut-out innings to pave the way of 3-1 victory for Brewers against Colorado Rockies.
