Ryan Day plays an exhibition match at Jester Snooker Hall in Swindon: 2011-12 Snooker Season
Welshman Ryan Day rushed to Jester Snooker Hall in Swindon after losing to Michael Holt in the Pink Ribbon charity event. He was the guest of honour in Jester and played some exhibition matches against
the young snooker stars to boost their confidence.
“I went for everything and got beaten in about 20 minutes and rushed to get here on time,” Day said while speaking to reporters at the event site.

The world number 28 was invited to the final day of South of England snooker championship as a guest of honour to present the trophies to the champions. To reach on time at the venue, day had to rush
within an hour after he lost to Michael Holt by 4-0 in the Last-16 of Pink Ribbon charity event at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester.
However, the loss was soon forgot as after just a few hours of his defeat, Day was at the baize yet again. The Dynamite was seen in a form he could not display at the Pink Ribbon charity event as
he played 17 exhibition frames in Jester Snooker Hall and out of all the young snooker stars he played, lost to just Daniel Winfield.
He told the reporters after the match, “I played OK, actually. Considering I haven’t played a lot of snooker after the World Championship.”
Day said about the commencement of different snooker events, “It’s nice to see a full club with lots of enthusiastic players all competing in different events. There’s certainly some good players
in amongst the ones I played. It’s encouraging, also, to see the youngsters all dressed up very smartly and keen as mustard to play and get better.”
He added, “It sounds as though it’s pretty much a logistical nightmare for whoever is running it. It was obvious, has been quite successful for a number of years.”
The Pontycymer potter, Day is now ready to play in the 2011-12 Snooker Season starting from Saturday, June 18 with Players Tour Championship (PTC) Event one at the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield.
He is also excited about the launch of a new major ranking event in Australia, the Australian Goldfields Open 2011, and is hoping to achieve better results this season.
