Ryan Getzlaf gets final minute game-winner as Anaheim Ducks topple Calgary Flames 3-2 -NHL

Ryan Getzlaf showed off some skills with his first goal since January for the game-winner in the final minute of round-three as Anaheim Ducks toppled the Calgary Flames, 3-2, on Friday night, March 2, 2012, at the Honda Center on Anaheim, California.
Calgary managed to tie the game coming into the final period of regulation but as Getzlaf was determined to score after a long drought.
"It was an emotional one," Getzlaf said. "That's a big win for our group. We've got half the battle won this weekend. Tonight's an emotional one and we've got to enjoy it right now and get ready for the next one (Saturday at Los Angeles)."
Anaheim is still down at number 12 in the Western Conference with 66 points. Ducks need to win their upcoming games back-to-back to get anywhere near the playoff race, which definitely seems difficult but with an All-Star team like Anaheim, it cannot be
ruled out.
"As long as we're doing other things well -- and our team is winning -- it's not as frustrating as everybody thinks," Getzlaf added. "When you're not putting the puck in when your team's winning. That means we're doing other things well."
Curtis Glencross grabbed his 21st of the 2011-2012 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season on the power play 3:06 into the first.
Bobby Ryan levelled it with his equalising shot on Leland Irving, who was in the net for main Calgary goalie, Miikka Kiprusoff.
Flames captain, Jarome Iginla, and Anaheim’s Francois Beauchemin exchanged fists after the levelling goal by Ryan as the tensions rose between the two teams.
Corey Perry took the lead with his tie-breaker at 7:41 in the second but it was Alex Tanguay for the Flames this time to sum it all up in the opening minutes of the third at 2-2.
Calgary still has a good enough lead over Anaheim to make it into the playoffs as Flames stand at number 11 with 69 points.
Anaheim has the next against their state rival team, Los Angeles Kings, on Saturday while Calgary will be taking on Dallas Stars at home on Sunday.
