The Manchester United playmaker offers his praise for the former AC Milan player on the eve of breaking his record for the most number of European appearances.
The Welshman surpassed the great Italian, Paolo Maldini, as the 1-0 win against Fulham marked the veteran’s 903rd official appearance for Manchester United.
The former AC Milan player previously held the record for the most European appearances, with a single club, having played 902 games with the Rossoneri in an illustrious one-club career.

While talking to the press, the Premiere League star said:
"Paolo Maldini is a legend. He played at the highest level for 25 years. I ask myself why a person like Maldini, who has so much experience, still hasn't got an important role in football? I remember that during Euro 1996, people
said that Maldini was old, but yet his career lasted until 2009."
Ryan Giggs has displayed a respectable form this season for the club that sits at the top of the Premiere League this season. He has scored two league goals so far out of 19 appearances for the English champions. Manchester United
are facing strong challenge from local rivals Manchester City, who are just three points behind, with eight games left until the end of the season.
The veteran is widely being hailed as one of the most iconic players in the glorious history of the club, and may retire at the end of the ongoing season.
