Manchester United’s legendary winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 has come out and made it clear that his team mates need to work towards improving Manchester United’s form in both European and domestic competitions after their 2-0 win over Swansea
City.
Ryan Giggs started the match for Manchester United and pressurized the Swansea defence into an error which eventually led towards Javier Hernandez’s goal, a goal that proved to be the difference between the two outfits. Sir Alex
Ferguson has used Ryan Giggs sparingly this season up till now but it seems that the Scotsman will count on his experienced campaigner to deliver the goods more frequently as United enter into the critical holiday season period of concentrated fixtures.
It is widely believed that Ryan Giggs will retire after the present season at Old Trafford but rumours are that the Welsh winger will push for another one year extension to his contract at Manchester United. Regardless, Manchester
United still remain behind Manchester City in their race for the Premier League title courtesy of City’s win over Newcastle United on the weekend. United now face Benfica in their next UEFA Champions League fixture and after that they host Newcastle United
on the next weekend.
Giggs spoke to the media after United’s 1-0 win over Swansea City and said, “We probably have to play better if we’re going to get more positive results. It’s a tough place to come; their record this season shows that. They were
unbeaten until today, so we knew that it would be tough. Sometimes you get an early goal and you sit back, we shouldn’t have done that really.”
He added, “You have different players and different fitness levels and some players played two tough games like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nani-c27299 and Phil [Jones], they both played two games. That can have an effect, but it’s not an excuse.” Giggs will hope
that he gets more game time at Old Trafford but Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Carrick-c25282 and Fletcher
in midfield.
