The veteran Manchester United winger said that United were awful in their defeat to Wigan Athletic which has now left them with a five point advantage over Manchester City, cut down from eight points...
Sir Alex Ferguson was left fuming after his team’s woeful display against Wigan Athletic in their latest Premier League match as the Red Devils just have a five point lead over their nearest rivals, Manchester City. Many have state
that the title race is back on track due to United’s latest slip up but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has been cautious in this regard as he has admitted that United might not drop five more points.
On the other hand, Sir Alex Ferguson is pondering over what went wrong for his team at DW stadium. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson left the midfielder out of his squad
altogether. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 started in central midfield but it was soon evident that the veteran playmaker was finding it hard to work his magic as United found it hard to click into top gear.
Giggs praised Wigan in his post-match notes as he said, "We didn't perform. For a start, our normal passing game wasn't as fluent and we kept giving the ball away. Obviously, you've got to give credit to Wigan. They put us under
a lot of pressure, especially early on and credit to them as well. They worked hard, but that [being closed down] is something we come up against quite a bit, so it's not an excuse not to be able to handle that.”
He added, "We just didn't keep the ball like Manchester United usually do. I think we only had one or two shots on goal and that's also disappointing, so we have to look at the game and work on it and get ready for Sunday."
