Ryan Harris might miss 3rd Test against Sri Lanka – Cricket News Update
A matter of concern for the Australian visitors prior to their 3rd and final Test against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RJ-Harris-c2330, who has been valuable for his side throughout its on-going tour of Sri Lanka.
Though his exclusion has not been confirmed yet, doubts were raised after a scan which revealed a minor hamstring strain sustained by the right-armed fast bowler on the fifth and final day of the recently ended, second test match against the Lankan http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808.
During the fixture, Harris exhibited an exceptional bowling performance, bagging 6 wickets from two innings, including the early dismissal of Sri Lankan batter, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/NT-Paranavitana-c2132, which weakened the hosts into crumbling down to a minor total of 174,
losing all wickets.
As for the first Test match at Galle, Harris failed to mark any stumps on the opening innings of the match, but came out with an impressive comeback, securing a 5-wicket haul in the second innings of the fixture.
Harris' exclusion may come as a big loss for the captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978, who already banked on the pacer for his remarkable contribution to the team, the likes of which he would be expecting on the final fixture as well.
However, the Aussie seamer is not new to injuries. Harris already holds a troubled record of injuries, such as the ankle fracture after the last Ashes series, which forced the pacer into missing out the early quarter of 2011.
As for now, if http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Pattinson-c1653, who offered some impressive swing bowling in the One Day International (ODI) leg of
the tour.
