Australia’s rookie pacer, Ryan Harris, has slammed the International Cricket Council’s (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, claiming that such type of short events are detrimental to the survival
of the longest format.
Harris opines that neither of the two teams can get anything productive from two games, which often end levelled 1-1. He has urged the world cricket governing body to pay special attention to Test cricket, which is at stake due to the rapidly rising popularity
of shorter versions like the T20 format. He has also suggested that there should be at least 3 Test matches in a series that features traditional rivals.
Talking to the media today, the speedster said, “Two-Test series, personally in my point of view, are pointless. If it's 1-1 at the end of the series you walk away with an empty feeling. Three-Test series have to be a minimum, if not more.”
He further told, “It's crucial. I'm not sure how they do it with the amount of cricket there is - cut-backs from Twenty20 - but Test cricket is the one. I'm not knocking Twenty20, it's great for the game, but you have to get your priorities right.”
Harris, who has decided return to action despite fitness problems, is not happy with the upcoming home series, starting from December 1. However, the Australian cricket managers are attaching great importance with the event.
Ryano, after picking some injuries, pulled out of the Kangaroos’ recently-concluded 2-match series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757. He flew to home and worked hard on his recovery. Now, he is confident of bowling well against the Black Caps despite the fact that he
