Ryan Harrison raise donations for Wounded Warriors Projects through a charity show – Tennis News
World number 70, Ryan Harrison, did a terrific job with the help of the reigning world number one doubles team of Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan. He started a Wounded Warrior Project in which the service members who incurs an injury
will be funded by the organization with any objective of receiving the money back. The fund raiser also featured the likes of Ryan Sweeting, Scott Lipsky and Christian Harrison and they all gathered at Shreveport, Louisiana to raise awareness to the general
public about the project and also receive some donations in return.
Harrison commented to the media representatives, “I could not be happier with the way things went this first year of the Ryan Harrison Invitational. I am so grateful for what our troops do to preserve our freedom and rights here
in the United States and around the world and I am glad that we could all come together to help raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. They sacrifice so much for us.”
He further added, “I am also proud to be from Shreveport and the community here really embraced this event and made it a lot of fun. The turnout was great and I look forward to returning to Shreveport many more years in the future.”
The 20-year-old American is looking to create a landmark in the history of tennis by becoming the major personality that helps the needy people. At the tennis courts, the youngster had an impressive season reached the semi-final
of three tournaments that includes SAP Open, AEGON Championships and Campbell’s Tennis Championships. In San Jose, he lose to the third seed Canadian superstar, Milos Raonic, in a close two-setter. The third seed Italian star, Andreas Seppi, toppled the booming
starlet at Eastbourne and the top seed compatriot John Isner ended his run at Newport.
He wasn’t so impressive with his play in the Grand Slam tournaments; lost in the opening round of the Australian Open and French Open. He managed to register a victory apiece at Wimbledon Championships and the US Open but couldn’t
surpass that stage. However, the philanthropist work is bound to help the kid in godly fashion in coming years.
