Ryan Hunter-Reay?? Do you think he can win again.?

Question

Oh was this just all Dixon & Briscoes bad luck.. He has won twice in the old Champ Car series. Just curious to what everyone thinks..

The Rahal-Letterman team seem to be hitting on all cylinders with drivers and cars. Reay now has a confidence he could previously only imagine. This win was so dominant, he had to be careful to just finish the race since he was more than 2 seconds ahead of second place.

To answer your question, he would have to think he can win, again. When a person comes off of a victory like that, he has to know in his head and heart it can be done again. As long as he is convinced, then we will all follow.

I ABSOLUTELY think he can win more and be a star in these cars. He's young, full of fire and without the bad luck that goes with the job, he could have already won and could easily be in the top 5 or 6 in points. He seems real true from what I've seen ,heard and read, ....he seems to have a real "sharp edge" about him and that's a special trait required to race fast cars. I hope RLR keeps him on and I wish the best for him.I have faith in Bobby Rahal and who he hires....He hired Danica, Buddy Rice and Vitor Meira..he's won Indy as a driver and an owner( Rice in 04) and I'm so glad they are back on track with Ryan.

It's real nice to see Rahal/Letterman, KV, and Newman/Haas back in these discussions...the playing field is leveling off and the compitition is only going to improve.

Edit>>> yeah I saw the burnout....He'll never do that again.....that Engine has to be used next week on an oval and rapping it out like that got him a little "spanking" behind the wall.......I gaurantee it... they only get a certain number of engines from Honda for the price they pay each season and "burnouts" tend to irritate the guy "buying" those engines....but it was still an awesome burnout!

I think Ryan could definitely win a lot of races in the IRL in upcoming seasons,even with his current "average" equipment.He finished 6th at indy and was contending for the lead all race long before his wreck with Marco at Texas.Overall,I think along with Marco Andretti,Graham Rahal,Will Power,Ryan Briscoe,Hideki Mutoh,and others, are future stars of the IRL.

After watching him for awhile I think he can win again. What a freakish accident Dixon and Briscoe had, that was weird. I was happy for Bobby Rahal.

Add: That was just a weird race period.

Considering that his majority team owner could drive Mid-Ohio fast in his sleep, I'd say RHR could double up his win total there.
