Ryan Jimmo to make UFC debut in 2012; will face Karlos Vemola – UFC News
The Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) will get a boost in its list of fighters next year. Canadian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Ryan Jimmo, who is the current light heavyweight champion at the Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC).
Jimmo will be making his highly anticipated debut at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in January 2012 on UFC on FX 1. He will be fighting against Karlos Vemola, the Czech MMA fighter.
Jimmo lost his first fight in February 2007 in which he faced Adam Braidwood in Alberta at MFC 11. After his debut, Jimmo has been on a winning run. He has won sixteen consecutive fights. He won the vacant MFC light heavyweight
champion in February 2011 at MFC 28. He defeated Dwayne Lewis by a technical knockout in the third round of the fight. According to UFC officials, Jimmo would be entering the UFC circuit in 2012.
On November 29, 2011, the UFC management released a news stating that the bout has been confirmed between Jimmo and Vemola. The Czech fighter, Vemola, was on a winning run until 2010. He won seven consecutive fights from February
2008 tol February 2010. He lost to Jon Madsen at UFC 116 in July 2010 and then lost his second bout in August 2011 where he faced Ronny Markes at the UFC Live event.
Jimmo would be in intimidating fighter in the UFC ring. He would also be a dangerous opponent for Vemola. The Canadian MMA fighter, Jimmo, has faced and defeated MMA legends in the ring. Some of the most notable wins in his career
have come against Wilson Gouveia, Rick Roufus and Jesse Forbes and Zak Cummings. MMA fans would also remember Jimmo’s fight against Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, when Jimmo successfully defended his MFC light heavyweight championship.
With impressive victories in his career, UFC may have discovered a diamond in the form of Jimmo, which can give UFC another boost of success with his bouts. Jimmo can do well in his bout but Vemola would not let Jimmo steal his
glory. UFC 1on FX 1 will be an exciting event as Jimmo would not want to lose at his UFC debut. Keeping in mind his MFC light heavyweight championship title around his waist, he would give his best shot to retain his dignity. If he loses on his UFC debut,
he could be termed as a lousy champion and that is what he cannot afford in his career.
