Ryan Moore – A successful young jockey
Although, there are many veteran horseracing jockeys, who have been doing an extremely good job over the years, yet they are being given a tough competition from a few young riders, who have earned a lot of respect in the sport in a very short time period.
One of them is, Ryan Moore, who has already achieved a lot in his career and still has a lot of time to mark his name amongst the greatest of all time.
The British jockey is the son of Gary Moore, who has served in the sport as a trainer for quite some time. Other than that, his brothers Jamie Moore, Joshua Moore and Hayley Moore are also top class riders and have been doing a reasonable job in their respective
categories of horseracing.
Ryan started his career at the amateur level in 2003 and his performances were brilliant back then. He was named the Apprentice Jockey of the Year for winning a total of 52 events during that season.
However, the young jockey wanted to achieve a lot more in his career and he kept on working hard in order to earn a name at the highest level. He finally managed to do that and made a strong impact against the best in the business in 2006. He won 180 races
that year and was awarded as the British flat racing Champion Jockey.
This was the first time when the talented rider won that award, but it was certainly not the last time when he grabbed it. His splendid performances in the 2008 and 2009 seasons earned him the honour of receiving this award again. He has been delivering
solid results with consistency and there will be a lot more achievements for him in the future.
Ryan has not only proved his mettle in England, but he has earned a lot of success outside his country. He has earned some major victories in France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, United States and Japan.
The 2012 season has not been a great one for the skilful jockey, but he has still managed to win a couple of important events. He won the Qipco 1000 Guineas Stakes (British Champions Series) (Group 1) (Fillies) in May and followed that up with a success
in Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) next month.
Despite not being able to be dominant this year, Ryan will be a force to reckon with in the future. He has got a lot of talent and his rivals will always respect him for that.
