Ryan Moore’s slim chances of retaining his jockeys’ title slipped from his grasp when he slipped from his horse at Windsor in August.

The jockey, who missed more than three weeks with a wrist injury, has done his best to make up for lost time and now picks up a plum spare ride at the expense of another jockey who has been put on the sidelines.
