Ryan Rosenbaum occupies Men’s 200m breaststroke gold – USA Swimming Sectionals, Fort Lauderdale
Ryan Rosenbaum of Swim Ft Lauderdale occupied gold medal of the Men’s 200m breaststroke on fourth day of the 2012 USA Swimming Sectionals in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, July 15.
Rosenbaum continued his thrilling form on last day of the championship as he cruised his way to the finishing end for gold medal of the breaststroke event.
With his astonishing efforts, Rosenbaum stayed in a considerable lead over his opponents and occupied the title of the event with an effort of 2 minutes and 21.82 seconds.
The champion was followed by Luke C Torres of South Florida Aquatics, who stayed almost five seconds behind and earned silver medal of the event by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 26.31 seconds.
The gold medallist was trailed by Christopher Downing of Charles River Aquatics, who stayed 0.06 seconds behind and ended third in the discipline by producing a time of 2 minutes and 26.37 seconds.
Fourth finest spot of the race was secured by Diguan Pigot of Metro AC Miami-F, who stayed 0.05 seconds apart and tapped the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 26.42 seconds.
The 18-year-old Pigot was chased by Gabriel Pedrao of Unattached-FG, who remained almost half second slower from upsetting his former finisher and clocked a timing of 2 minutes and 26.93 seconds for fifth position.
Subsequently, Pedrao was trailed by Kristo Kertesz of Swim Ft Lauderdale, who remained almost two seconds behind and completed his race in sixth best place by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 29.09 seconds.
Seventh finest spot of the event was obtained by Chey Rodriguez of Swim Ft Lauderdale, who stayed marginally away from his foregoing finisher and clocked a timing of 2 minutes and 29.43 seconds.
Rodriguez was chased by Gregory Penny of Westminster Academy, who stayed one body length behind and hit the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 30.24 seconds for eighth position.
Furthermore, Rosenbaum received acknowledgment from the audience for his noteworthy efforts while he stated that he would continue his efforts to achieve more at higher levels of swimming.
