Ryan Wilson signs new two-year deal with Glasgow Warriors – Rugby Union News
Firhill Stadium based Scottish professional Rugby Union outfit, Glasgow Warriors, has announced the extension in stay of their young and talented back row forwards players, Ryan Wilson, with
the club. Officials at the franchise have confirmed the signing of the number eight Wilson with the Warriors in a statement released on their website on Tuesday, November 1.
Wilson has inked a two-year deal with the Warriors to extend his stay with the club. He has featured in all of the Warriors games during the 2011/12 season so far. He was part of the Warriors
outfit, which registered their historic away and home victories again the Cardiff Blues and Leinster (away) and Ospreys and Dragons (home) respectively.
Glasgow Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen, has expressed his delight on retaining the services of the talented number eight with the club. He said, “Ryan has proved to be an excellent addition
to the squad, and I’m delighted to have him signed up until at least the end of May 2014. He’s a powerful player in our back row and a good, vocal presence about the park.”
Lineen has expressed his confidence that Wilson will continue working hard to improve his performance and remove the shortcomings from his game. He added that during his stay at the club he
has shown a good attitude towards learning and becoming a quality player. He added that he expects Wilson to continue working in the same manner.
The 22-year-old Wilson has expressed his excitement on signing his new two year deal with the Warriors. He has praised club management role in securing and retaining quality players with the
Warriors. He added that such measures create a positive and relaxing atmosphere in which players can concentrate on playing rugby, instead of focusing on other issues.
Wilson added, “I love being part of Glasgow Warriors and living in this brilliant city. There's a very positive feeling around the place at the moment, and I was anxious to be a part of what
has the potential to be a great few years in the club's history.”
Lineen and Wilson made these comments while talking to officials of the Glasgow Warriors official website.
