Ryan grant, Willie Parker for fantasy football?

Would Ryan Grant be a good fantasy choice as a #1 RB? I might go with Tom Brady for my first pick which is #5 and then for my second go for grant. I know he did great when he played last year, but can he do it again this year? Or I could get Willie Parker. Who would be better? Please explain

  1. Ryan Grant. he is faster and he jukes and spins better. Willie is old and is not an explosive player like Ryan.

  2. Assuming you take Brady (I would rather take a top RB at #5), Grant would be a better option.  He is a little risky because of his contract situation, but Grant should get the goal line carries. This cannot be said for Parker.  Parker will be splitting carries with Mendenhall and that could cost him some serious fantasy points.  I also suspect that Mendenhall will get the carries at the goal line.

  3. Get Steven Jackson, you usually can with 5th pick. Steven Jackson is really solid, he played half a season last year (8 games), and had 1008 total yards, that's nuts. He is better than Westbrook and Joseph Addai easily. With your second pick, I'd go with Willie Parker, Steven Jackson+Willie Parker would be a nasty 1, 2 punch. Here are some steals: Andre Johnson, he sometimes falls too early 4th round, and had the 3rd most points per game last year of any WRs. Patrick Crayton, projected 927 yards/ 9TDs on ESPN, and is Dallas's number 2 option, so when T.O. is double teamed, Crayton's getting the ball. 49ers defense, projected more points than the GB packers defense, and you can get them in one of the last rounds. Tony Romo, projected for 275 points on ESPN this year, which I think is third most, you can get him in the 4th round most of the time. Tips: TEs are very important, try too grab Antonio Gates or Jason Witten.

  4. take joe addai or brian westbrook with your 5th pick not brady. Then go for manning, wayne or TO in the next round that will be a much better pair than brady/grant or brady/parker

  5. I believe Ryan Grant would be a great #1 choice, remember this will be Aaron Rodgers first season as the Packers full time QB and to keep the pressure off of him the Packers will utilize the running game more often, now if Brian Westbrook is available I would go for him, he had the most yards from scrimmage in the league last year with 1333 yards rushing and 771 yards receiving with a combined 12 touchdowns and only 1 fumble lost.

Steven Jackson would be a great pick if not for the weakness of his offense line.
