Ryanair? Pushchair for a 3-year old?

We are flying with Ryanair and I'm bringing a pushchair for my 3-year old niece. On the website it says you can bring one free of charge for children UP to 3 years, but not 3-year olds. Will it count as a bag or will they let us bring it for free?
