  1. theres only one airport in dublin....where in dublin are you going?  the airport is close enough to the centre but traffic can be c**p

  2. No worries, there's only one airport in Dublin - Dublin International Airport. It's located near Swords in north county Dublin and it's really easy to get into the city centre from here.

Firstly there's the Airlink service. You can get your tickets from the vending machines or from the Dublin Tourism info desk or indeed the bus & rail info desk. A single adult ticket costs 6 euro and it's 10 euro for a return journey. For kids it's 3 euro for a single and 5 euro return. Children's tickets cannot be bought from vending machines.

There are 2 airlink buses. The Airlink 748 goes to the central bus station (Bus Aras) in the city centre and then travels along the quays to the main train station - Heuston Station. The Airlink 747 stops on O'Connell Street (smack bang in the city centre) and then goes onto Bus Aras.

Journeys take about 40 minutes - if traffic isn't too bad it'll take less.

There's also an Aircoach Service. This connects the airport to the city centre and areas south of the city. It stops at many of Dublin's hotels on route.

If you prefer to travel by taxi, just head outside the arrivals hall. A taxi fare to the city centre will set you back around 25-30 euro. Some charge more for additional passengers and it may cost extra on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    Enjoy your trip to Dublin!

  3. They fly into Dublin.

  4. I did this trip when the airline first started to do this journey and I did it for a day using public transport to get into dublin city and I was surprised how near it was.  Of course it also saved me a lot of money but if you are doing it in a cab that should be a doddle.

Its a really lovely place to go and the people are amazing.  have a great trip

    Hope that helps

  5. Hi, It takes about 40 mins on the airlink bus, mind you on saying that when we were there in Jan. the bus took a different route into the city and it only took about 20 - 25 mins.  The Airlink bus is right outside the terminal building and you get your ticket from a machine at the bus stops, we paid 10 euros return. You can just walk onto the buses as they are very frequent, unlike the Q for taxi's.

  6. There is only the one Dublin airport, it's about 30/40mins on the bus to the city centre.  : D  They have details on their website
