Question:

Ryanair flights?

Ive been on the website and seen loads of cheap flights starting from £10 return.

I am wanting to book one but i know theres a catch somewhere..

someone said its because you can only take hand luggage and pay for extra baggage?

I'm only wanting a weekend break so will just be taking on large bag.

Does this have to be under a certain weight?

If so - if you go over how much do they charge?

Have you been on these flights and were they ok?

  1. There is no catch.

You pay for what you use.

I have had loads of trips to Europe for a return cost of 2p total!!

  2. I used to fly with ryanair a lot.  You can take one handluggage on for free.  Thereafter it is +-£10 (used to be less but think it's just gone up) per bag.  The weights are all on the website - best to get that straight from the horses mouth because they may change it anytime.  If you are over the weight they charge a lot per kg (somewhere in region of £4 per kg over).  So it stays really cheap if you stay in the guidelines, it can get expensive if you don't.

  3. There´s no catch - you pay for flights + taxes.

The hand baggage limit is 10kg and ONLY ONE piece of baggage allowed (see below for maximum dimensions).

If you want to check in your baggage you are charged:

1st Bag – Per bag/ Per One Way Flight £8 (via internet) £16 (at airport)

    2nd & 3rd Bag – Per bag/ Per One Way Flight £16 (internet) £16 (airport)

Regarding baggage - from Ryanair´s website:

Each passenger (excluding infants) is permitted to carry one piece of cabin baggage on board (free of charge). Strictly one item of cabin baggage is permitted per passenger (excluding infants). Handbag, briefcase, laptops, duty free etc must be carried within your permitted 1 piece of cabin baggage. It should weigh no more than 10kg and not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Due to security restrictions - certain items cannot be carried in cabin baggage - click here for details. For the safety and convenience of all passengers, cabin baggage must fit underneath the seat or in the overhead compartment. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation without refund and to deny you boarding if you arrive at the boarding gate with more than one item of cabin baggage or if that item exceeds the maximum dimensions.

  4. Ryanair are ok... they have a good safety record, your hand luggage the dont weigh, so theres not realy a limit. Check in online and save a fortune! so its a pretty good offer

  5. there fine to fly with i flown on them before, its not a trick they just try to fill the plane up any way they can the ticket will get a lot more expensive closer to the date, these airlines are the future of air travel.

you will find on the flight they will try to make up some of the cheap ticket by selling things on the plane like duty free, bingo tickets, booze, food, toys. its cheap no frills travel i say go for it. all the baggage allowances will be on there website this is the best place to get accurate info not here...
