Rydalis leads market for Novices’ Hurdle
Rydalis is leading the betting market for Niftylift Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle, a high-stakes Class 4 contest that will go down at Towcester racecourse on Monday, May 14. The action will begin at 7:00 (GMT).
On the soft track of 2 miles and 5 furlongs, the hot favourite runner will face half a dozen rivals including All The Fashion, Burnt Orchid, Midnight Hop, Midnight Macarena, Queen Of Mantua and Shantou Breeze. A prize cheque of £2,053 is waiting for the contestant who will carry the day.
Rydalis owns an epic track record. The Venetia Williams-trained bay mare excellently finished first in her last outing on May 1, 2012. Prior to this, the brilliant horse had gained a third on April 20. Overall, she has won 2 of her total 9 starts so far.
The talented daughter of Kapgarde out of Fleurissa has all the potential and spirit that a runner will need to turn the tables in today’s Hurdle. Moreover, she may also capitalise well on her favourite tag.
Thus, the entire situation is quite favourable for Rydalis. Now it is up to her how she manages to make her way towards success. Her chances to thrive are as high as 95 percent.
Midnight Macarena and Queen Of Mantua will also struggle hard for success in the coming contest.
Midnight Macarena excellently finished first against 11 rivals in her second last start on April 14, 2012. As a whole, the Lucy Wadham-trained mare has won 2 of her total 13 starts so far. She looks to be quite determined to make a big impact in the Hurdle.
On the other hand, Queen Of Mantua has been in good form since the dawn of 2012. The Fergal O’Brien-trained bay mare grabbed a runner-up rank on February 29 and stepped ahead to finish 3rd in the subsequent start on March 22----the maverick mare was 2-1 favourite for that event.
In this situation, Rydalis will have to pass through some gruelling challenges in order to thrive. The battle among the charged runners will be amazing to watch. Good luck to all the mares.
