Ryo Fujimoto secures Boys 400m IM gold – 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet
Ryo Fujimoto of Itoman secured gold medal of the Boys 400m Individual Medley (IM) on second day of the 2012 NCSA/Itoman Allstar Meet at the Golden West Swim Club in Golden West College on Saturday, September 22.
Fujimoto showered his expertise in the eight-lap IM discipline as he sprinted his way towards the finishing blockade for gold medal. He continued his ruthless efforts throughout the race and cemented his place on top of the victory stand for title.
With his immaculate struggle, Fujimoto remained two and a half body length ahead of his following swimmer and touched the wall for gold medal with a wonderful timing of 4 minutes and 28.60 seconds.
The champion was chased by Ikuya Matsumura of Itoman, who stayed 2.42 seconds apart and occupied silver medal of the event by submitting a time of 4 minutes and 31.02 seconds.
The second position holder was followed by Koheim Fukazawa of Itoman, who was 2.09 seconds behind and secured bronze medal of the event by reporting a time of 4 minutes and 33.11 seconds.
Fukazawa was trailed by Grant R Proctor of NCSA, who remained 5.15 seconds slower from overpowering his preceding finisher and settled on the wall as fourth best finisher by submitting a time of 4 minutes and 38.26 seconds.
Proctor was followed by his teammate, Evan G Rude of NCSA, who stayed 6.13 seconds behind and surfaced on the finishing end as fifth fastest swimmer by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 44.39 seconds.
Sixth best position of the race was obtained by Brandon C Fiala of NCSA, who remained three and a half body length apart and tapped the wall with a timing of 4 minutes and 47.95 seconds.
Fiala was chased by Steven Shek of NCSA, who remained considerably slower from his preceding swimmer and hit the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 53.25 seconds.
Kaede Kisaka of Itoman, who qualified as fourth fastest swimmer, was disqualified in the final round and was unable to grab any position.
In addition, Fujimoto was contented with his gold claiming effort in the IM discipline.
