Ryobi Cup: Daniel Christian bags South Australia 5-wicket win versus Victoria
A sensational all-round performance from Daniel Christian bagged South Australia their second successive Ryobi Cup win as the Redbacks outlasted Victoria by five wickets at Geelong Cricket Ground on Saturday, December 4. Christian followed his best one-day bowling figures of 6 for 48 with a blasting knock of 78-ball 86 as the tourists cruised past Bushranger’s competitive yet gettable total of 198 with more than three overs to spare.
The victory earned Redbacks four points while a point was added to Victoria’s account as well for being ahead of the visitors at the halfway mark. The Bushrangers, in their opening block, totalled 90 runs at the loss of three wickets while the first block of 20 overs saw the tourists struggling at 63 for 4.
