Would a Ryukin goldfish mind being kept in 7.8 p.h.?

  1. Thats Ph is slightly high for a goldfish, I would lower it to around 6.5-7 if possible.


  2. pH 7.8 is in the 'normal' range.

    Goldfish will adjust to that just fine. If you try adjusting it you are going to fighting with the pH for the rest of the fish's life, which may not be long if you cant keep it stable.

    A stable pH is generally better than the exact 'correct' pH.

    Natural biological action in the tank will tend to bring the pH down over time anyway, so it will tend to drift down a little once the tank is established.
