  1. fruit tastes really good on it! try blueberries, or watermelon but frist try strawberries 'cause they r the best!

  2. Try ricemallow.  It's vegan and uses rice syrup as a sweetener.  I get it at my local grocery store.  Any whole foods store should have it too.

  3. Some results came up when I searched for "vegetarian marshmallows," but apparently they're awfully hard to find. Also came up with some recipes for making your own marshmallows -- Wikipedia said that many manufacturers use gelatin instead of the natural marshmallow extract due to costs.

Supposedly you could use marshmallow fluff, as most contain either very little or no gelatin at all. Something to look in to.

  4. Beef Jerkey

  5. If you go to your local grocery store, they usually have vegan/vegetarian marshmallow fluff. Hope you buy some =)

  6. more chocolate?

  7. How about some apple slices??? Or some cinnamon?? Or why not try both??

  8. marshmallow isnt gelatin so i dont think you need to substitute it

  9. WOW the fruit sounds like a great idea! I will try that myself!!

  10. I am, too! Maybe white chocolate or something? Make it melted.

  11. Marshmellow "Fluff" is made gelatin free.

At better health food stores there are Vegan Marshmellows.

  12. Hello,

How about a little peanut butter slathered on. You could make them in the microwave. It would be very yummy!

    Good Luck!

  13. marshmallow fluff it is soft creamy and sticky.....can you eat that?

  14. Someone already said it, but Marshmallow fluff doesn't have gelatin in it.  Unfortunately it doesn't toast well over a fire.  They make vegetarian marshmallows but you'll probably have to order them online, or else I book marked this recipe a while ago if you want to make your own http://www.cs.indiana.edu/~connelly/mars...

And also as already said, fruit or peanut butter would taste good with melted chocolate and graham cracker.  If you're making s'mores over the coals of a grill, grilled banana slices would be a great substitute and would be the perfect size.  :)

  15. Marshmallow fluff, if you eat egg whites. Otherwise, vegetarian marshmallows or vegan marshmallow fluff. Try veganessentials.com.  You could also just use fruit, like bananas or strawberries, peanut butter, or more chocolate as someone else suggested.

  16. Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme/Fluff is totally vegetarian. I do believe it contains milk. So it is not vegan :-) I used it for my smores last week, it was delicious.. Just microwave them, you cant use the creme over a fire. Here is how i do it

put 1-2 pieces of chocolate on a gram

spread the creme on the other gram

    microwave for about 20-30 seconds

    put toghether and eat!

Also I know there is a brand of vegan marshmallows called Sweet Sara or something. I think you have to order them online and are quite pricey.
