and just wanted to know

when does the state start checking ur grades to go to college

im middle school or high school

or both?

or what grade?

I'm pretty sure high school which would be ninth grade make sure that even if your grades aren't great you do lots of extra curricular activities, it looks really good!

They evaluate your grades starting with ninth grade.  However, 11th and 12th grade classes will be the most important so honors courses, AP (advanced placement) courses will be good to take your last few years of high school.

Schools look at everything you do from 9th grade on, including you're grades/activities after you are accepted in 12th grade.  Some schools will revoke your acceptance if you do poorly after you are accepted into that school.
