  1. You have to put your tv on an s-video channel for it to work. Check your manual it should tell you how to do this.


  2. S-Video is the video only. You still need to have audio cables hooked up. these are the red and white cables (without the yellow).

  3. S-video, component video (3 RCA cables), and composite video (one RCA cable) connections only carry the video information. You need to hook up a pair of audio cables (left and right) to get the audio to your TV.

    If you have HDMI output on the DVD player and HDMI input on the TV, you can use an HDMI cable without audio cables. This carries the audio information as well as the digital video. And, it provides better video images than all other cables.

  4. Sure it's not the S-Video cable ?  that carries the picture and you would need another cable to carry the sound.
