S.Waugh team or the punter's team?

4 me Waugh's team was the best Australian team in history of cricket and Ricky Ponting's team is vulnerable.

both...  Steve's team was best in their era and ponting's team is also best though they will struggle a little because of new young ones joined in and still have to get familiar to international standard but it's a learning experience for them and they will go through ups and down.

well firstly, i completely agree with Binga about the Ponting not being a nice guy thing, Waugh wasnt a nice guy either, but his team got some bloody good results!

honestly, i think Waughs team was better, but that while Waugh gets the credit, what about the guy that gave him that team? Mark Taylor deserves more recognition then he gets from most people, he was a bloody good captain, who built a bloody good team to give to waugh who then took them to a new level, Taylors results may not have been as good, but he did alot for the players in his side

Pontings has been the most successful. To those who are going to get on the 'Ponting is not a nice guy' bandwagon, neither was Waugh. He was a sledger & a pig at times. He only became Mr Nice Guy when named captain.I dont remember Waugh's team winning as many WCs as Pontings, therefore he was not as successful.
