S it legal to fly electric RC airplanes in a park where there are no or less kids?

I live in Brooklyn New York, and i wanna fly and RC plane in a park, is it OK to fly ti when there are less or no kids? Please tell me. Thanks =)

There are always cops around, so why not ask one?

It might differ location to location, such as in Lousiana, no-one cares what you do there, as long as it follows state laws. Though in busy states, such as New York, since parks might be surrounded by buildings and whatnot, it might get you a warning. Though I wouldn't think flying an RC airplane in a park would get one arrested.
