When I get the RPM up past about 3500 it feels like the power kicks out for a second and sometimes comes back other times it will just accelerate, but not as fast as it should. Have any of the pros on here heard of this? solution?

  1. Your problem could be a few different things.  Check to see if any of the boost tubes from the turbo/intercooler are loose, cracked, deteriorated.  It could also be a fuel or spark concern, causing a misfire.  You may also be looking at one of several pressure/temperature/air flow sensors on your engine.  It is difficult to diagnose your vehicle without driving it, but these are some places to look.  I recommend taking it to your Volvo dealer, they should be able to help you.  Hope this helps.

  2. it might be a problem with your transmission

  3. it's a Volvo.

Volvo didnt put much engineering into it besides a bigger engine and suspension.

It's not gonna go any faster unless you add a turbo, and change the exhaust system.

    BUT remember....it's a Volvo, not a BMW.

Dont expect much from it, even tho it claims to be a performance car.
