Are there any Springboks players who would be eligible to play for other countries after they have been forced out of their home countries team.

  1. The IRB changed the eligibility rules in 2000 so no player can play for one national side, and then another.

So no capped Springboks could appear for another country.

For younger South Africans who leave the country to pursue professional careers in countries without such a quota, who have not appeared for the national team, this is certainly a possibility.

  2. The System Is $#%#%#^

It Should Be More About The Playaers Abilities Than Race If The White Majority Are Good Then Leave Them 2 Play 4 The Springboks. Habana Is Not Even White So Why Should They Complain??? Sometimes I Think Thabo Mbeki && His Government Need Some Common Sense They Should Be Proud Of The Springboks Representing S.A. !!,

  3. Here is another question:

Once the quota system is implemented will the south african team be called the all blacks?

  4. Go ahead - we could do with a few of your guys playing for England.

  5. All they need is citizenship of the other country. Look at Clyde Rathbone and Australia for example. A mass exodus to european club rugby and possibly Australia (for the forwards anyway) is on the cards if the ridiculous quota system goes ahead

Edit: Every chance of it but if I was England I would worry about getting productive backs
