SAG Agencies question?? Acting?

Question

Soo, i was wondering how to get a agent from SAG, and is it costly, like do u pay before? Or like im hoping, only after an agent finds something for you? A man i worked with at a photoshoot gave me his card and he was part of SAG. and i wanted to get involved.. oo ALSO is it true disney ONLY works with SAG?

i like in NY, btw... but not NYC

u need to get a taft heartly or a 3 badges. its really hard to get into sag. it took my friend 3 years to be sag eligible. but its worth it. u ahve to pay 2500 and u have to pay dues. but they really realiable

SAG is the union that protects all film actors.  SAG licenses certain talent agents.  You can get a list of them on the SAG website.  The agents do not charge; they take a percentage of your earnings, usually 10%.  

If you are just beginning, I suggest you get some more experience and training before thinking about joining SAG.  Plus, it's very difficult to get in.
