SALARY FOR child care senior staff w/ AA in early childhood and elementary?

just wondering what kind of salaries people are making in daycare! I worked in daycare as a group leader for 4 years, only made about 9 an hour. Now I am a bit older with more qualification. Does anyone make salary, or only hourly wages?

Thanks for the info...The initial plan was to work in elementary, but I have decided that working in preschool is just something that I really love.

look around and don't settle for what you are not happy with . should be at least 15 .. i live in sf/ca

Probably between 9-12 bucks per at the average place

I have not seen it more than 12 an hour for a child care staff person, however you should look into a higher position director etc to see an decent pay. Or perhaps you could open your own business...
