  1. 4x-5y = -20

    -5y = -4x-20

    5y =  4x+20

    y = 4/5x + 4

    The equation is a line.  Pick two x-values then calculate the y-values then plot the two points and join them up with a line.

    Good luck.

  2. 4x - 5y = -20

    -5y = -4x -20

    y = 4/5x + 4

    i'm pretty sure that should be your answer ^^

    did you divide -4x by -5??

    graphing: 4 would be the y-int. so you would start at +4 on the y-axis. 4/5 woud be the slope (rise over run) meaning from +4 you'd go up 4, right 5 and plot a point. you can also go down 4, left 5.

  3. 4x - 5y = - 20

    5y = 4x + 20

    y = (4x + 20)/5 or y = 4/5x + 4

    Answer: y = (4x + 20)/5 or 1/5(4x + 20) or 4/5x + 4. Any from these choices will do.

  4. 4x - 5y = -20

    -5y = -20 - 4x

    5y = 20 + 4x

    y = 4 + .8x

  5. -5y = -4x-20

    y=4/5x + 4

    You are missing a 5 under 4 with the variable x.  See the above.

    Graphing is pretty easy too.

    4 is a point on the y-axis.

    After you spot the 4 on the y-axis, you draw the slope, which is 4/5

    Therefore, you go 4 up and 5 right  (Slope= Rise over Run).  So, start the slope from the 4 on the y-axis, then pin-point another point after you move 4/5 from the y-axis point; 4.

    When you get the two points, just connect them both with a line.  And that's your graph.

    Hope I was of some help to you.

    Take care

    Good luck!
