i just got my scores for the SAT Reasoning, and they add up to 2040.

Is this a good score? Am I eligible to go to a good Ivy League school?

I took it in June, 2008. But I plan to enter Uni in 2009, should I hold on to my scores till 2009 when I apply, or retake it in 2009?

  1. you can retake to see if you think you will get a higher score...and the only way to know if you will get in is to apply to the schools that you want to go to...

  2. It all depends on what the rest of your college application looks like, GPA, your essay, things your involved in at school, etc. 2040 isn't bad at all, but if you want to be assured getting into an Ivy League, and want to take it again by all means do it. I think that you can retake it in September 2008 and though, and not 2009.

  3. it might be too late if you are in 11th grade and you might need to apply already

you might be able to get into something like Brown with 2040 or maybe Cornell. Nothing like MIT or Princeton unless your extracurriculars are excellent.

so, i think you should just send your scores in to the colleges if you think you are ready

    good luck!

    =D

  4. the writing score isnt counted so subtract your writing score
