SAT/ ACT/ PSAT....i entered 10th grade and i dont know wen am i supposed to give em

i will be in 10th grade after this summer. And i don't know when i am supposed to give all these exams.. please tell me

  1. The PSAT is like a practice SAT and you take it in mid-October of your junior year. You can practice the PSAT in tenth grade, but it will not count for national merit.

    Most juniors take the SAT or ACT in the spring of their junior year and then retake the test(s) if needed the fall of their senior year.

    Some colleges prefer one over the other and some take both. The SAT is generally accepted on the west and east coasts and the ACT is generally accepted in the mid-west and south-east. Check with the colleges that you are interested in for their testing requirements.

  2. I guess you mean take and not give, but don't take the PSAT, that's a waste of money. You want to take the SAT/ACT probably at least twice each starting your Junior year. You'll probably do better your second time around so that's why you want to take it again.
