Question:

SAT II Math 2... review book trouble.?

I've been taking practice tests for the SAT II in Math, Level 2. I got 790-800 in the Petersons book but in Barrons i've been getting in the mid 600 range.

What's going on? Which book is more realistic... this is kinda psyching me out!

Are Vectors and Conics and Matrices and 3-D Coordinate Geometery tested on the SAT II?

Thanks

  1. I've always heard that the Barron's books are particulary more difficult in the math sections. It's intended to psych you out so that you'll perform better on test day, I guess. Most reviews on the Barron's say this, but I'm not sure. I haven't taken the Math 2 exam, but I think you will encounter vectors on the exam, and matrices as well probably, because I take pre-calc right now, and we did matrices and are starting vectors, so I think, since the Math 2 is supposed to be high level mathematics, they should test those. I also think they have some practice questions on the collegboard site for the SAT II, so you may want to try those and see how you perform for the Math 2, since those questions will mirror the actual test. Well, I hope I helped a little. Good luck to you.
