I got a 620 on my SATII Chem Test.

I am not planning on majoring in Chemistry or in any other science fields though. I'm more into business.

so, does it affect ( or hurt) my chances into college that i want? right now, im focusing on geting into colleges like UMASS-Boston College or BU, or places like that.

  1. Getting a 620 on the SAT II Chem test is a pretty solid score!  Nice job!  And since you're thinking of going into business, I don't think that colleges will use that score against you.  I have a friend who is also majoring in business and her SAT Chem score was really close to yours and she got into a very good college.  So I'm pretty sure that this score will definitely not hurt your chances of getting into the schools you want.  Hope that helps!

  2. The great thing about SAT II is that you get to take them in a whole variety of subjects. If chemistry isn't your strong point, why not take it in a subject you're more skilled in (since you're interested in business, why not economics or math?)? Don't worry, most colleges look at the application holistically, meaning that they take everything into account, so assuming the rest of your application is solid, a 620 won't make or break your chances. Best of luck!

  3. I don't think it will hurt or help especially since you do not plan to major in it.  It is a reasonable score.
