Question:

SAT II Scoring and Cancellation?

Hi,

I know alot of people have already asked, but the answers seem to be a bit iffy. So I'd like to ask again...

If I registered for 3 subject tests, but ended up only taking 2, will I still get scores for the two I DID take?

I simply left the last page of the answer sheet (the one for the third test) blank, and left the testing center. Will I still get scores for the two tests I took, or will everything get canceled?

Just to clarify, I'm NOT CANCELING any SCORES. I just want to know if I canceled the TEST itself.

I registered for Bio, Math II, and Chem. I filled out the info for the bio and math tests on their respective pages in the answer "book" but left the last page (which was supposed to have been for chem) entirely blank. Will I get scores for bio and math?

Thanks in advance.

(I called the Collegeboard to confirm that if I don't take a test at all, I still get my other scores. But I heard different answers from my friends so..just wondering...whether or not Im screwed.)

  1. Yes you WILL get scores for the two you did take. This happens fairly often (lol, it actually happened to like two people in my testing room today... I'm a student, not a proctor, btw), so collegeboard knows how to deal with this  issue.

I'm fairly sure that you won't get your money back for not taking the third test though; oh well, it's like $20. :D

Hey, I was going to take Bio and Math II today, except I forgot my calculator at home (... I know, it's like, are you serious?!). Hope your scores turn out well!

  2. Yes you will get your other 2 scores. This happened to me today too. I wasn't ready for Literature, so I only took World History and left. I asked the proctors about it 3 times LOL. and I called the place, and I read collegeboard.com too.

haha I was so worried though, cause I want my world history to count!

  3. My test procter said that the SAT people MIGHT decide to cancel it but it isn't for certain. However, I also remember him telling me that you cannot decide to cancel just one test and that if you cancel one, you cancel them all. (unless it's a math test and your calculator malfunctions during the test) If you called collegeboard listen to what they said.
