SAT Question: How Do i read my score?

i am kind of having troulble getting a complete score from my SAT's. ok so in critical reading i got 600, math: 540, writing: 570. and then for my subscore i got an 8 on my essay and a 57on the multiple choice. can any one tell me what my total SAT score is and what exactly are subscores? thanks!

to get your total score you just add up the three sections. 600 + 540 + 570. you got a 1710. writing is divided between the essay and the multiple choice. the essay if worth about 30% of your writing score.

1710 is alright, but study harder and try to break 2000!
