Question:

SAT Scores?! I'm from the Midwest!!?

I already took the SAT I.

I just received my scores. But as a Midwesterner, I don't know much about the SAT. I took the test without preparation and without even knowing what was covered.

My scores were as follows:

Critical Reading: 680

Math: 710

Writing: 670 ---- Multiple Choice: 66 & Essay: 9

Total: 2060

I know it isn't bad, but I want to go to either a really competitive school or hopefully receive a full ride to an in-state school.

I'm looking at Boston University, Washington University in Saint Louis, and Yale as my competitive schools.

Otherwise, I'll probably go to an Illinois public university.

Do I need to retake the SAT? Or are my scores decent enough to hopefully gain admission. I am a varsity athlete, participate in community service clubs, and have a weighted GPA of 4.60. My schedule has been consistently challenging.

For further reference on whether I need to retake the test or whether my potential was fulfilled, I got a 33 both times I took the ACT.

  1. Those are very excellent scores... Your SAT should be good enough to get into those tough schools.... Im not 100% sure about the scholarships, but it looks like you are in a very good position..
