Question:

SAT Scoring Question?

Do colleges look at your overall score on the SAT? Because i heard from a friend that colleges only look for the reading and math scores added up (meaning it excludes the writing part). Is this true?

  1. no...they'll see each individually as well as added up. BUT if you take the SAT multiple times they'll see your best individual scores on each section and add those up for a cumulative score.

For example, if you took the SATs once in october and you got:

    Writing- 750

    Reading- 720

    Math- 780

    2250

then you took it again and got:

    Writing-760

    Reading-750

    Math-760

    2270

    you'd really get

    Writing-760

    Reading-750

    Math-780

    a 2290

  2. no, they look at it divided in the 3 sections too

like they'll see what you got for math, what for english, and what for writing

  3. yea
