Question:

SAT Subject Test Math Level 2?

This is mainly for anyone who's taken the SAT Reasoning Test and the Subject Test I mentioned. How hard is Math L2 compared to one on the Reasoning Test and what score should I expect to make (I made a 780 on the Reasoning Test math)? I didn't bring a calculator to the SAT (don't think that made a difference though). Is a graphing calculator more necessary for the Subject Test?

  1. its definitely different than the reasoning math test. There's a lot more precalculus and algebra 2 questions.

a 780 is a good score, but study for the math subject tests using a subject test prep book.

You need a graphing calculator on the subject test.

    Good luck.

  2. It is different, Math 2C is more complicated and involves pre-cacl/trig while the Reasoning Test does not.

Personally, I don't think your 780 will exactly reflect the way you will do on the subject test.

As long as you have taken the class (trig) and did well, you should be fine.

Things that they will test you on the subject test (the differences) include matrices, graphing hyperbolas, ellipses, etc, and limits.

A graphing calculator will also be more advantageous.

I suggest you look through a book to get a feel for the problems before taking it.

  3. i personally thought the math 2 was easy, and you can miss 1 or 2 and still get a perfect.

    (800 on math level 2)

SAT I is curved down on the other hand..

(740 on reasoning test math lol)

so yeah. basically the SAT subject tests are a joke (not to be cocky).  if you pay attention in school and do your hw then you should do fine.  the SAT reasoning on the other case, is unreasonable on many accounts and isn't a measure of your "intelligence" or "abilities", despite what ppl say.
