I took the math 1 test today and im wondering how to convert a raw score into the scaled score out of 800. i have a pretty good idea on how many i got wrong and right so i was trying to figure out my real score.

    you'd be surprised by how quickly your score drops. each test is scaled differently, though.

    1. multiply amount wrong by .25

    2. subtract from amount right

    3. round to the nearest whole number.

    that's your raw score. converting it depends on the test, so look at a chart from a previously administered test for a rough estimate.

    46-50 pts: 770-800

    41-45 pts: 720-760

    36-40 pts: 680-720

    31-35 pts: 630-670

    29-30 pts: 610-620

    24-28 pts: 550-600

    19-23 pts: 500-540

    anything below that and you should probably retake it... and not open your results when you get them.
