I'm taking them tomorrow, and I signed up for three but now I only want to take one of them. Can I just take that one and then leave?

  1. Yes. You can take whatever you want on the day of the SAT II. If you sign up for one and want to take 3 the day of, then just do it. All you do is fill in a bubble on a sheet and they score what you fill in. So if you dont fill it in, nothing will happen. I'm not sure what it does to your account online (it might just have a dash next to the one you said you were going to take) but my proctor told a girl in my room during May that she could take the Chem one if she wanted even though she hadnt signed up for it.

As for what the other person said, she is wrong in that some schools require three - Harvard and Princeton that I know of. Northwestern "recommends" three, but theyre not required and are only used for placement. The more you have though (and the more you do well on), the more appealing you are to a school, so even if your school doesnt require them, it doesnt hurt to take them.

  2. yep. u just need at least 2 total for some schools. there are other schools that dont require u to take any at all
