whats the errror in this?

We all tease my Uncle Henry because he likes to wear a stocking cap even in summer months, and he drives around town in a 1959 pink and white Chevrolet.

the error is " months, and " part but why?

That's where the error is located.

This should be split into two sentences at that point:

'...summer months. He drives...'

The independent clause following the 'and' has no connection to the first part of the sentence. It is a completely separate thought and should be an independent sentence.

My best guess is that it should be a ";" instead of a "," but that's my best guess
