  1. WHAT!? Who is the moron above me who said each section is out of 600? WOW!

Alright. Each section is worth 800. If you want to know your score out of 1600 add up only your Critical Reading and Math scores, and if you want to know your score out of 2400 add up all three sections. Your score out of 1600 is 970, an out of 2400 its 1450. The multiple choice and essay score are unnecessary in calculating your total score because they contribute to your Writing section score, which is included in the score report. These are middle of the road scores, and certainly a decent starting point if you desire to do even better. Good luck.

  2. What is this critical lens you speak of?

Anyways, the SAT 1600 is just the sum of the critical reading and math scores. Both of these subjects have a maximum score of 800.

    Your score is: 460 + 510 = 970.

970 on the 1600 scale, I believe, is about average, so you may want to retake it depending on whether you think you are capable of doing better and how selective the schools that you are looking at are. If you do decide to retake it, then good luck!

  3. Add up all your scores 1,506

  4. The critical lens, math, and writing are what go  into the total and each is out of 600.  So you got a 1450, which is very good.
